Our daughter has attended PIPS Nursery since she was 9 months old. We chose ‘PIPS’ because of the ‘home from home’ feel and approach which filled us with utter confidence in both being able to return to work full time. We loved that she would be in a home environment, with healthy, home cooked food for each meal, with animals, in nature and cared for as a member of a family.
She has been based at both the Strethall and Hempstead locations. Pip takes recruitment of staff very seriously and so we always felt assured that, whichever setting she was at, each member of staff cared for her with the same love, tradition and high standards that Pip expects.
She still returns to ‘PIPS’ for ‘Holiday Club’; her face lights up when she knows that she is returning there - the variety of resources, fun activities and the chance to see old friends (children, staff and the animals!).
We credit Pip and her team with the independence, good manners and love of the outdoors which people recognise in our daughter today. Choosing Pips Nursery was the best decision we made when selecting a childcare provider and recommend ‘PIPS’ wholeheartedly.

We feel extremely fortunate to have found PIPS Nursery for our son and look forward to the day when our daughter will attend. It is a one-off place and unique in so many ways. Alfie benefits from highly bespoke care. There is regular communication with Pippa and her team. This make us feel that raising Alfie is truly a joint venture in which everyone involved is committed to his positive development, education and care. The nursery is small and each child receives a lot of adult attention, meaning their individual routines such as sleep and potty training can continue as at home. Their days are packed with activities from puzzles and craft through to feeding the chickens and planting peas! Being outside, exploring nature and getting muddy is central to the day at PIPS, we love that Alfie returns home exhausted from his adventures, bubbling away with stories, brandishing cakes and colourful pictures. PIPS is a home from home environment which eases small children into childcare whilst nurturing them to explore and discover as they grow and develop. When our family went through difficult times, it was the consistency of care at PIPs and the attention of the staff which helped us get back on our feet and ensure that Alfie's world remained secure.

‘PIPS Nursery looked after my daughter for 7 months before we relocated. Artemis joined at 3 months old and from the first meeting with Pippa I felt reassured that she would provide devoted care to my daughter. Artemis thrived in Pip’s setting. Pip’s staff are well trained, attentive and respectful. You are never judged for any worries. After the first two sessions I knew I had no worries. Artemis, despite her age, was comfortable around the staff, smiley to see them and ready to have fun in the beautiful environment at both settings! The food that Pip’s provides is healthy and homemade. As a mother, I felt reassured, informed and able to focus on my work during the day knowing my daughter was happy and well cared for, which is all anyone can ask from a childcare setting. Pip is a true professional with decades of experience, but brings with this a care and personal approach to suit every child and they in turn adore her and her staff.’

Putting your child into nursery is such a difficult decision and picking the right nursery is so important. Isabella settled well into PIPS nursery from the start and this is because of the wonderful nurturing home from home environment that is provided and the beautiful outdoor space that both Boytons and Strethall have. She loves the animals, taking walks through the fields and woods and playing outdoors, planting seeds and getting muddy! She has also really benefited from the children playing in mixed age groups as she has learnt from the older children, but also learnt to be caring around the younger children. Isabella loves her days at PIPS and really thrives there, so much to tell us at the end of the day!

Having now sent all three of our children to PIPS (both boy and girl) I can safely say that it has become a home away from home. Pip and her team provide a warm and nurturing environment, the children never look back when I drop them off! The daily diary provides clear communication to parents and a wonderful keepsake for the children to enjoy when they are older. My children have learned so much and grown so much in their time at PIPS Nursery. They spend a lot of time outside and get so much pleasure from the farm animals and the country setting. I cannot recommend PIPS Nursery highly enough.

Both our daughters have absolutely loved every minute of their time at Pips. It is very much their second home, where they have felt loved, supported, so beautifully cared for and had buckets of fun. The environment in which they have created at PIPS is so nurturing and both girls, very different in character, have loved it. Creativity, imaginative play and fun have all been there in equal measure and it has brought out the very best in both girls.

PIPS Nursery has been a big part of our family life for a total of five years as both of our daughters have attended the Strethall setting. Jo and Pip have wrapped their arms around our whole family during tough times and have provided a safe, nurturing home from home for our girls. The excellent care and friendship provided by all the girls at PIPS leaves us in no doubt that our children have had the best possible start in life, we would highly recommend them to anyone.

Both my children attended PIPS and still attend the holiday clubs at Boytons Farm. It's a boutique nursery with limited numbers of children in a home from home environment. I love that my children are cared for in a free-range environment, exploring outdoors, looking after animals and having hearty, home cooked meals"

Choosing PIPS was one of the best decisions we made for our son. The teachers are so affectionate, they're never too busy to give cuddles and talk to the children. They respect children's individuality and personality. The outside environment was a great bonus too! Especially as Yoshi loves animals, it's so lucky that the nursery has chickens, rabbits, dogs, even horses. He love's to be there!"
