The best start in life
PIPS Nursery provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment, where the needs
of your child are paramount, enabling the development of social, intellectual and physical skills in preparation for the years to come.
Although I'm not their mother,
I care for them each day,
I cuddle, sing and read to them,
And watch them as they play.
I see each new accomplishment,
And help them grow and learn.
I understand their language,
And listen with concern.
They come to me for comfort,
And I kiss away their tears.
They proudly show their work to me,
I give the loudest cheers.
I am not their mother,
But my role is just as strong.
I nurture them and keep them safe,
Though maybe not for long.
I know someday the time will come
When we will have to part.
But I know each child I've cared for
Is forever in my heart.
PIPS is a small Essex based children's nursery, providing a unique home-from-home environment for your children. Our two locations surrounding the historical town of Saffron Walden in Strethall and Hempstead, both provide a rural setting where the children enjoy plenty of fresh air and exercise.
We treat every child as an individual, with their own special strengths and weaknesses. At PIPS they enjoy developing their own strengths and are given every opportunity to flourish and reach their potential. As early years practitioners we can help build on the areas where they are less confident and secure. We cannot make the world free of discrimination and a safe place to be – but we can do our very best to ensure that our early years setting is a small model of what we would like the world to be, where children are safe, valued and included.
Norland trained
Pippa's unique background means that at PIPS childcare is more structured and centred around your child. As well as the NNEB and RSH qualifications, Pippa is a trained Norland nurse – the Norland College is recognised around the world for providing the very best early years degree education and childcare training, giving students the best knowledge, experience and skills to maximise their own potential and that of the children in their care.
